Siddur Project: A Song Shul Fundraiser
Be a part of The Siddur Project, and you’ll be helping The Song Shul raise much needed funds as well!
The Song Shul is getting ready to purchase our special Song Shul edition of the Koren Siddur so that we’re all on the same page.
Why did we choose the Koren Siddur? We love it! And you will, too!
1. The English readings are inspiring, contemplative and beautifully written.
2. The Torah readings for Sukkot, Pesach and Shavuot are included, along with each accompanying Haftarah. That means that on Festivals, we only need one book during our service (no Chumash necessary).
3. All of the Megillot are contained in this special siddur. That includes The Book of Ruth for Shavuot, Megillat Esther for Purim, Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs) for Pesach, Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) for Sukkot, and Eycha (Lamentations) for Tisha B’Av.
3. It covers prayers for all of the life-cycles, and even adds extra prayers for Healing and Childbirth.
4. The Koren Siddur loves Israel. It offers special prayers for Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day), Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), and Yom HaZikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day) as well as a prayer for the State of Israel and another for Israel’s Defense Forces.
